I think people are always underestimating the power of mentorship, and people are ready to learn, but they are not ready to actually allow people to help them. But is only when things become very bad that you will see people complaining about trading, but at the same time, fail to learn.
Some traders do need a mentor, especially for those who do not have friends to share their trading experiences. Sometimes we find a dead end in trading that causes us to experience consecutive losses in trading. If we have friends to share experiences with, maybe we can find problems and solve them with our friends' experiences. But if we do not have such friends, finding a mentor is certainly not a bad way.
Of course having a mentor has never been a bad idea ever since. Some people actually learn faster with the help of their mentors, while others can manage to learn on their own, especially if they have some close friends whom they can ask about trading and how to maximize the trading potentials.
With this, people may have different views and insights, but in the end they share a common goal, and that is to succeed and make profits from trading.
