Everyone loves to talk about the 21 million cap, but we almost never talk about Bitcoin's dirty little secret: the year 2140.

That's when the block rewards officially run out. No more new Bitcoin. From that point on, the entire security of the network—the miners who protect it from attack—will rely only on transaction fees.
My Father used to tell me to worry not, when we get to the bridge, we will cross it. This is a typical example of when we get to the bridge we will cross it.
But funny enough, both me and you and everyone else who will read this my comment will not make it to the bridge of 2140. So, enjoy it now that the system is not altered.
