Would you be willing to bet that Lamine Yamal is a symbol of the future of football, on par with CR7 or Messi, or that perhaps we're overestimating him prematurely, since we've seen these cases in the past where a player stands out so much that, over the years, he ends up becoming just another player in the squad.
Another question I have is, do you think the current rivalry on social media is real or just a marketing ploy?
I don't think there is any such thing as rivalry, and I don't want to believe that such thing will exist between both players. These are clearly two different players from two different eras. There shouldn't be comparisons between both players. Yamal is still young, and might not be a fan of CR7, which will all understand from every point because those who watch football also have their favorite.
We can only talk about Yamal, and the things he can achieve before getting to a certain age. Like at this point, he has a chance of winning the world cup(possibly in 2026), winning the Ballon d'or, and winning the Champion's league, all before turning 20 years. This is clearly a sign of a massive potential, and the future of football. He has what it takes to break records of both CR7 and Messi, but I'm not just a fan of making any comparison.
Two different eras... Two different players.
