Inter Milan truly wanted trophies and will continue to aim at winning titles but they have to take their finance into consideration for any actions on transfer market for players in and out as well as salary ceiling in their club. They have been succeding in building up a competitive squad but it seems not enough for winning UEFA Champions League. A next season will be very challenging for Inter Milan as they no longer have Inzaghi as a head coach while a replacement is Chivu who is very young and lack of experience in this important position.
Maybe it was certainly noticeable that Inter Milan wanted the trophy but due to inexperience they were unable to surprise. As you mentioned Inter Milan have already changed coaches but Christian Chivu is definitely an surprising name to replace their former coach because this manager's level of experience is low, I think it could be risky for the Inter Milan football team. It is now clear that Materazzi is the most supportive of Milan's new coach. By the way at one point it is also true that they have succeeded in forming a competitive team but it is not enough to win the UEFA Champions League but it is credible that Chivu may be able to keep the team strong.
