What Barcelona desperately needs now is to replace Lewandowski without losing anything. That dude is a great striker and he played great this season too but he is only getting older. If they could have gotten Osimhen, which looks like not something they can't afford, they would have been perfect.
Just sell Lewandowski for a certain amount, not sure how much they can get for him, but find a way to sell him, and with the amount of money they save from his salary and the amount of money they make from the sale, could have paid for Osimhen. That dude, at 26 years old, asks less than what Lewandowski asks, and he could have scored about as much as Lewandowski did too. So, it's a sad situation to see them be forced with an aging star without having an alternative in mind.
Sorry, Barcelona's sporting director, Deco has clarrified it. Barcelona never have intention to sell Lewandowski, and wanna play him until the end of his contract. These days, they need a lot of money to sign a proper striker, which will also affect their financial stability. The better they to focus onto their current squad, and try to bring a new striker from their academy.
I know how Lewandowski's performance has dropped, but only a bit. He's still remain at the 2nd place of top scorer this season. Enough reason to keep him. I ain't saying he doesn't need a replacement, but he only needs a back up whoever it is.
I was surprised when I heard that Barcelona wants to part ways with Lewandowski because Lewandowski really performed well for Barcelona, and his goals helped Barcelona beat Real Madrid to the La Liga title this season. People should always verify information before they post it here because a lot of fake transfer news is flying around on the internet. Lewandowski is getting old, so you don't expect his performance to remain the same. Even at his age, Lewandowski was a big threat in the race for La Liga top scorer, and if not for his injury, he could have won the La Liga Golden Boot.
