We can argue sports betting is about knowledge a person has about sports but at the end of the day, a person who merely goes with favorite, will also get his picks often right. So is sports betting actually about knowledge?
Edit: So many people are misunderstanding the word, 'favorite' here. What I meant here is oddmaker's favorite. Suppose, a competition is held between two teams 'A' and 'B' with odds 1.2 for former and 2.0 for latter, then former is favorite, and bettor can bet on this favorite without having iota of knowledge about sports itself and still likely win the bet.
I understand the payout will be less, but here we are saying, getting the pick right without having knowledge about sports whatsoever.
Hope I have made myself clear enough.
To bet on sports, you need to be knowledgeable about sports. If you do not have enough experience and the ability to analyze sports, then you will not be able to win by betting on sports. There are many people who do not have much experience in sports, but they participate by looking at the chances of two teams. Here I think it is wise to participate by looking at the chances. Here it is understood that the team that is a little stronger and has a higher chance of winning has a lower chance, and the team that is a little less strong has a higher chance. When betting on a match, if you have a favorite team in that match, even if the favorite team is less strong than the other team, you should not always bet on your favorite team because in gambling, if your favorite team is less strong, you should consider the unfavored team. You should always analyze and bet in a way that you will win.
