I've never been to Iran, and have no access to Iranian news media so I can only assume this is accurate. Any reasonable person with a shred of critical thinking would have to agree.
It's understandable, in order for them to introduce Iran as the "bad guy" they first have to censor Iran so that they can push their own one-sided narrative. Even on all US-based social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, ... anybody who tries saying anything against the status quo will be censored, shadow banned or fully banned!
Here is an interesting example that highlights an interesting distinction that is also suitable for this context as well.
In the aftermath of 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Zionists/Israelis were seen dancing and celebrating the loss of civilian life, while the Iranian people were lighting candles as a sign of mourning and in solidarity with the victims.
