And some gamblers are good at managing their emotions, so you have no idea if they lose or win, leaving people guessing.

How about you what's your position?
I'm this one.
The fact is, nobody knows around me that I'm gambling which is good because nobody can tell on whether I won or I lose. I guess being emotionless in investing helped me not letting my emotions felt by anybody around me. I don't know but I think I can manage my emotions when it comes to gambling. If I win, I feel nothing. If I lose (which happens for most of the time), I feel nothing either, and what I'm doing instead is to do some things that will help me lessen the frustration and disappointment because... nobody wants to lose their money in gambling, right and if you will lose, at some point you will feel some frustration, and it's up to you on how you can handle it.
While I can manage my emotions and I can not let other people feel my emotions, not many gamblers are like this. There will always be some out there that will be felt very easily if they win or lose for various reasons. Some winners might brag it like what you said, but there will be some that you will their negative emotions because they lost. Being emotionless in gambling is very hard, but not impossible, and it's a big help if you will ask me. Being emotionless is good, but learning how to manage it is better.
