Russia is already bogged down in Ukraine, they couldn't save Assad from a bunch of rebels on Toyotas, do you think they could take on Israel too?
There will be no WW3, nobody wants to defend Iran. Just like Palestine, behind politics, everyone in the Middle East hates them. So, who is going to help Iran? Saudi Arabia? Turkey? Pakistan? Nobody will move a muscle. Behind all their declarations to appease their Muslim population, they couldn't be happier to see the Iranian regime fall, everyone in the Middle East hates their proxy wars.

They are going to bomb eachother for a while, say they achieved whatever they proposed, go back to "peace", then bomb again eachother a year from now and eveyone will just get tired of it and don't give a damn anymore

Russia has abandoned Assad and will abandon Iran as well. It won't expose itself to a new war while it's mired in a protracted war with Ukraine and hidden conflicts with the United States and NATO.
As for the Arab and Muslim peoples, I can confirm that what you're saying is true. I expect that 80% or more of them wish for Iran's defeat. They show solidarity with Iran to the world, but they wish for its defeat and for Israel's victory.
In my country, I see people celebrating when Israel strikes Iran and cheering for its death. Although they don't like Israel, in reality, they consider Iran their primary and greatest enemy.
