All of these problems occurred purely out of Ancelotti's expectations. Initially this coach really believed everything was fine in all squad positions. And after that Ancelotti wanted to make changes and strengthen the attack line to recruit Mbappe. But unfortunately the problems came in a row and made Madrid fail to win titles in any competition. In this case there is no need to blame and we must leave the bad past and now Madrid has Xabi Alonso who will provide a positive change. Rest assured that Madrid will be even better in the new season.
I wouldn't put the blame on Ancelotti or the players, because the team lacked the quality of a good defense and midfield due to injury on their players which started in the beginning of the season. Ancelotti has done his best for the club and he has to leave, let someone else take over. If a coach continues winning trophies, no club would replace him.

Nobody expected so many defenders to be injured, and Ancelotti certainly doesn't want to be in that situation. But strangely, when it happened, and he had the chance to fix things (when the January transfer window opens), he did not take advantage of the opportunity, and it was as if he underestimated the problems they were facing. So for that reason, Ancelotti is indeed to blame for their failure.

I think that's the reason why he stepped down, because he felt he had made a mistake that made Madrid fail to win a trophy.
We all know about Ancelotti great coaching skills and experience of turning the game around in Madrid's favor with his substitutes in the second half if the match is against them. That's the reason why I wouldn't accept that it was Ancelotti's fault that led to their failure this season because he didn't have expected players on ground which he can use to cause damage on his opponents.
In general, Real Madrid's main problem was injuries. The team was still playing well under Ancelotti, but when injuries started, Real Madrid's hand weakened. Another area where Ancelotti could be criticized was that he did not give enough chances to young players. While Elind was on the bench, he continued to put players who were still performing poorly on the field. As a result, they had an unsuccessful season in both the Champions League and the Spanish League.
In terms of potential players in this season, I guess Real Madrid have potential players but injuries came up ending of the tournaments that made Real Madrid to lose so many trophies in this season.

Real Madrid coach is full of pride that his decision is the right and is the only thing that can bring victory to the team, which is what make the coach to kept some good players on the bench. If you look at the UEFA champion league game very well, Real Madrid experience some challenges in the defensive that made their opponent to drop them from the tournament, because Real Madrid strikers was well prepared to score goals but the opportunity was not there for them to secure goals that will bring them victory.
I think that Anceloti played a key role in making sure that madrid ended up this season the way that they did because he didn't give opportunities to younger stars to express themselves but always featured thesame players always this great affected the performance level of Madrid one thing that helped Barcelona this season was the way hans flick allowed young players to play along side the senior players
Ancelotti not featuring Real Madrid's younger stars this season wasn't the reason why Real Madrid performed poorly this season, and you don't expect Ancelotti to give Real Madrid's younger stars opportunities when there are already established players at Real Madrid. For now the only way Real Madrid's younger stars will have opportunities to play for Real Madrid is when Real Madrid's senior players are injured.
