The major thing that causes problems in gambling is addiction and often time, addiction has caused so much problems creating disappointment on people, and it mostly influenced those who are not that mentally reasonable to know when they should stop, limits or even continue gambling. Gambling is not something people should be putting all their trust all time with the mindset of winning a specific amount over some periods of time. As I know, gambling doesn't work that way rather a thing of fun and whenever this aspect is undermined or overlooked then it causes serious problems to people whereby they wouldn't know when they fall into addiction.
