What if Bitcoin was reimagined today, under modern cryptographic assumptions, using a principled minimalist architecture designed for long-term auditability and zero-trust adversarial environments?
There are ton of altcoins that are basically all reimaginations of Bitcoin, because they owe the whole idea to bitcoin, so have your pick from them.
And consensus for it would be as scattered as it is in altcoins, so people wouldn't rally behind it (unless the whole reimagination wouldn't come from Satoshi).
And if it would come from Satoshi, original bitcoin would tank in price because fear of dumping his btc. And i doubt people took Satoshi as seriously anymore as there are ton of talented developers in this space now.
