The greatest disease of people is lack of faith and trust in God. Inside each of us exists the subconscious knowledge of the laws that God wants us to follow. When we break these laws, we automatically fear God's punishment.
The thing that God did was to place our punishment on Jesus. We don't have any punishment except for not accepting Jesus's sacrifice for us.
That's the whole reason for trouble in the world... Jesus-God giving us time to turn to Him, and we barely turning to believe... or not turning at all.
I believe that's how it is. I follow the laws, although I admit that sometimes it's hard for me. It's hard because I don't know if Jesus existed or not, I don't know the full story. Every religion has its own history, and it's hard for me to believe.
