It got me thinking whether people think that gambling success stories can only be if you recover from gambling? Is that really the end goal? To rid of gambling as an activity?
It depends on the situation you are in. Overcoming gambling is a success for people who want to get over it. Those who want to quit but had a hard time doing so due to addiction. Hence if you finally change what you used to, that's considered as your success journey.
On the other side, the usual goal of gamblers are to win huge. Hitting it and became rich is of course a success of a gambler, that probably all of us are dreaming to be. Anyway, as I have said, it depends on the situation since we have different journey that we go through.
