High intelligence won't directly help you earn long term earnings from gambling in sports. It is a game involving humans, as such you cannot accurately predict the outcome over a period of time. Doing lots of research and being up to date with all the happenings around that sport is more important than high intelligence, but even that won't give you long term earnings.
