-Most of today's projects are duplications with little innovation, wrapped in complicated sentences to make them look cool. Is it a problem solver  No !!! So it's only natural that people work on them just to get airdrops and then sell them, because maybe they don't care about this "ordinary" technology. if the project is good, even if all airdroppers sell, there will still be new people who see the future opportunities who will buy and hold the tokens.

-A small number of today's projects focus on winning the hearts of venture capital. The adoption issue is just a spice of false imagination.

-Today's projects, the airdrop allocation is over, the effect is that holders have gotten too much for free, what is the effect  when launching the project, they lose buying pressure

So it has nothing to do with the user.

Airdrops is just that part of marketing of a certain project but its not the sole reason on why project do fail, but as small as some issue on which airdrops could give out some effect. Take for some example:

"Airdrop bounty hunters, didnt get their enough allocation or the amount given isnt that in line on whats being promised" - Then this is something that will be affecting out the entire project on which considering on how big the community of those marketers on which once that the project do make out some foolish moves that pertains about deceiving or lying then it will be surely be that making out such impact that would be leading out into projects demise or failure.

Speaking about success then its never been guarantee because no matter how revolutionary tech a certain project it would be in comparing into those projects that been built out of pure fun or simply being a meme coin. We've seen tons of situation that about those success about into those projects that doesnt have actual utility but it do able to succeed. Why? It all matters about recognition and hype on which it might sounds simple but this is the most effective way on lifting out the project.
