I think a good player he got right was Casemiro. The midfield needs a leader, a guy who runs after the ball, who scares the opponents. And Casemiro is that guy. And I don't understand why the previous coach didn't pay much attention to him.

I think it’s because of stubbornness, which is typical of Brazilian coaches, they latch onto an idea and stick with it until the end. In Casemiro’s case, I believe he didn’t have much relevance earlier because of that. I don’t have much faith in this current national team. Maybe they’ll go far, but I’m more hopeful about a long-term project, aiming for the 2030 World Cup, for example. This upcoming World Cup already feels pretty much lost due to the CBF’s poor management.

I think the same thing. I believe that if the team plays against a great European team, it will lose. But you have to believe and have faith. Until now, the team didn't have one of the greatest coaches in history, but now we do, so the impossible things are slowly being undone.
