If you continue to keep that mindset, you will easily fall for scammers. You should prep yourself that you're better than some people, having learnt the basics as you said. Yes, you may not be where you're supposed to be but you aren't definitely doing worse than most people who have heard about Bitcoin but don't make any efforts to learn the basics.

The first step is never to trust anyone here who DMs you on this issue or any other financial issue(s) with the promise of helping you out. Definitely, that's a scammer.
While there are many free and available resources to learn from, there is no need to wait for any help from strangers. People who want to engage with strangers are either too naive or lazy to do things - in this case important things - by themselves.

Strangers who proactively send you PMs for help or give you too good to be true offers, are mostly scammers. So learning from available educational resources is good by saving money for buying courses, interacting with strangers who are mostly scammers.

Secondly, just keep your seedphrase save and written down on a piece of paper. Don't screenshot and save on a device.
Create your wallets offline, backup your wallets offline or air-gapped. Never download a wallet, install it and create your wallets online or store your wallet backups online.
