Winnings from gambling comes unexpected and they are subject to proper management or excessive spending depending on the gambler's orientation.

It is true that winning from gambling is just an extra money that can boost our financial capability.  Others are very generous whenever they win a huge amount of money and I don't say that it is wrong but I believe that there is a better way to handle winnings, and that is to make it a capital in a venture that can also yield money.  This way the money in hand won't just diminish due to the expenses but instead it will generate more income for us to replenish those money spend for our needs.

Some gamblers have argued that the wins is not part of their financial plan, describing it as lucky and free money and they do not care how they spend it, but mainly use it for recreational purposes and to enjoy themselves by increasing their living conditions, partying and other forms of fun for a while, while there are others that apply more prudence in managing their winnings.

I won't argue with those people who thinks that money from gambling wins should be spent since it is a free money but let us consider and think of the future what ifs.  There are instances where things happen unexpectedly that needs a huge amount of money.  Saving and investing our huge wins can save us from the frustration this unexpected things/event brings.
