If there is anything I wouldn't like to give a head up against then it would be vouching for this Manchester united team anymore because for almost a decay now they have been suffering and have disappointed although it looks like amorim can do something with the team but I still doubt any good results will be gotten next season.
Most people are still doubtful about the condition of the Manchester United team next season so that all parties in the team must move to make improvements starting from releasing old players and replacing them with new players so that there is a deeper difference for next season. So this is not only the responsibility of a coach, but all parties in the team must also have the intention to change the team for the better.
Amorim has more responsibility compared to the players. The season break is enough time to recheck his squad and and find out a strategy that will workout. Last season Manchester United only managed to escape relegation. It is the place of the coach to observe his players to know which one best fits into certain position based on his preferred tactics and formation. Manchester might still face serious setback this coming season. Because Amorim will end up recycling the same players for next season.
Everyone involved in the team is responsible for Man United performance, Amorim gets a bigger portion because he is the head coach. Regarding the squad overhaul, I think the club owner will fully support Amorim plan, this is the only way to get better results next season. Of course, to get the best results, Man United may need more time. It is unreasonable to expect Amorim to be able to immediately bring Man United to become a trophy challenger next season, even though we know they will completely overhauled the depth of the squad. Amorim reputation will be at stake, he could be fired in the middle of the season if Man United continues to experience ups and downs in performance. Overall, expectations for Man United next season will not be too high, if they manage to finish in the top ten of the standings, that would be quite good.
