Just as you hear of gambling in addition same thing happens in the trading world, most especially traders who usually lose money trading, and this is as a result of them chasing the after their loses which in the end they've never been able to recover it. It's not something that happens immediately, but something that develop with time. I know of someone who almost trades every day, doesn't typically have time for himself and always on the chat, the last time I was with him, he told me he was gonna stop trading, and he stopped, but surprising to me, now he's fully back to trading the way he's used to.
Trading is not gambling, even if you are addicted to trading, then things are very different. You cannot call gambling a job, while you can call trading a job. Trading tends to be based and done with analysis even though the profit actually depends on the price fluctuations in the market. In gambling, a person tries to bet his money in the hope of winning, but the ratio of winning and losing is very unbalanced.

The success percentage of traders compared to gamblers is very significant, imo. We can actually find the fact that many traders have become rich because of their skills, but only a few gamblers are really rich without being sponsored by casinos. Gambling and trading are actually quite difficult to distinguish, but there are some traders who trade like they are gambling on luck.
