Trading can be addictive, but not like gambling. Before someone gets addicted to trading, that trader must be a profitable trader, and since you already have a profitable trader, even if you are addicted to trading, then I will say there is not much trading since you have the knowledge of what you are doing and you are not predicting the market;
Yeah you are right, trading is not as addictive as gambling, but I disagree with you that only profitable traders get addicted to trading. Even traders that are always losing can get addicted to trading, after losing some amount of money, some of them will want to win back their lose before they stop trading, but when you are so desperate you will find it difficult to make profits because you won’t settle down to do your analysis properly before entering a trade.

you are using your knowledge and expertise to trade in that case. Furthermore, being addicted to trading, I will not say, is really bad because even with addiction, you will be making your money, while with gambling addiction, you will lose more than you are earning.
Anything addiction is bad, not all traders make money, so you might be addicted to trading, and you will be losing frequently, and even when you are suppose to stop, you are going to find it difficult to stop, so anything addiction it’s really bad because it doesn’t always end well.
