As I am saying, the calendar in 1941 and the calendar in 2025 are almost exactly the same.
Are we going to get back to 1941 again? My comments may sound like fantasy, but almost everything that happened in 1941 will happen in 2025. There are 6 months left between now and the end of 2025.
If you are comparing acts of aggression in the two years, then yes - they are the same, and they always be. It's human nature to want more (
land), but it's human reality that all of it is taken. So most of us settle for what we have. But our leaders, whether forward looking or not caring about the consequences, will always try and take from the weak.
The tools of war change (rifles to artillery to icbms to stones) but the underlying reason of war does not. I used to be happy, but now someone else is sharing my resources, and they don't value them as I do.
As for the year being half over, it would be interesting to study how the season affects aggression (something Hitler never got right in Siberia), but I think you take any period and compare it to the past and you'll come to the same conclusion locusts do.... everything is comfy until their wings start touching, then they know there are too many.
The huge difference was that there was a country that wanted to invade the whole world. You had Germany invade Czechoslovakia in 1938 Poland in 39 , France, Belgium and the Netherlands in 40, and so on. The only country acting like that at the moment is Russia, but it lacks the military force to do so.
China wants to replace the US as sole superpower - with technology it will be the same as an invasion. The difference is, their plans are made decades at a time, as compared to the west who changes plans when they swap political parties.
