Agreed. I believe Juric will not able to meet Gasperini's standard, and he won't be so long in Atalanta. If he can deliver un-imaginary result, he can stay until the end of season. However, it sounds impossible. I know how mediocre he is. He being sacked two times in a season, and there's nothing worsen than it. The banter era of Atalanta is finally back.
Atalanta want to give an opportunity to Juric even they knew that in this season, this coach failed and was fired by AS Roma. It perhaps Atalanta had their reasons to pick Juric as a replacement for Gasperini while two coaches are certainly at very different quality levels. Gasperini is a better coach with long successful journey with Atalanta while Juric is not a young coach but his coach career is not too impressive.
I was wondering this season why Atalanta didn't change their coach. In 2026, Atalanta appointed Gian Piero Gasperini as their manager. He was Atalanta's coach for 9 long years. During that time, Atalanta's performance was not too bad, but the team couldn't even compete for the title.
I really think you made mistake in your post as Gasperini already left Atalanta and AS Roma already appointed him as their head coach. So it seems your information matches with AS Roma and Gasperini, not for Gasperini and Atalanta. I can guess another possibility that Atalanta appointed Gasperini in 2016, not in 2026 like you typed.
