I heard Real Madrid apparently rejected the offer from Sporting. Gyokeres was offered to Real Madrid with a high nominal, but was rejected because not being interested with his style. Xabi wants to recruit a player who tends to attack in the upper balls. We don't know what the player's fate now, he was involved in a conflict with officials club after they raise prices unilaterally to MU and Arsenal. Both club won't continue his sign Because too expensive and not appropriate with his age.
All of european big clubs who have been linked to the Gyokeres are so reluctant in buying him. It's all due to the his non sense asking price combined with his wages. Even no official bid came to him. Unless he will able to reduce his salary, and ask his current club to reduce his clause. He may not be leaving from Sporting in summer.
This is very disappointing, not just Gokeres but also the problem faced by Osimhen. Are the agents the issue while the players are staying longer in the transfer market, from their performance they are better than some players who already got their deal closed, if the prices are not working then it should be adjusted to fit in the market, if it exceeds this time around it will be another long wait before the market opens. Fair prices should be bargained for both players but it doesn't need to be excessively price tagged by the releasing team and agents.
I think some of the managers' demands are spoiling the spirit of football. It is something that should not happen in football for teams to ask for very high amounts of money for their players. The two best players in the world, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, were players who did not receive as many transfer fees as today's players. I think football was a little better then. Teams used to talk about achievable figures for transfers, but now astronomical figures are being asked for players and I think this is very wrong. Yes, a player can be valuable, but the money asked for should be at reasonable levels. I think the income of the clubs has not increased much compared to the past.
