PSG established a system that works with even without a superstar, which Madrid lost. This year, Madrid foundation was based on the belief that Mbappe would solve everything, but instead, the whole thing became weaker. When Kroos and Nacho went, the team was lost, and all of that old Madrid identity just... disappeared. The stats also support this: the top three players of PSG only scored 44% of their goals, whereas three best players from Real were effectively responsible for two-thirds of their goals. Not much of a “foundation” if you ask me

They may currently have a squad without stars, unlike previous seasons, but PSG are currently trying to create one because they have young talents with quite promising talents. Under the tutelage of Luis Enrique, PSG has succeeded in making Nuno Mendes the best left-back in the world for the end of this season. Where the Portuguese player is now playing quite impressively and agilely who is not only quite good at shutting down the movement of opposing attackers, but Nuno is also quite good at helping the front line, both in making assists and goals.
This is one interesting thing I love about this current PSGs squad because they more like play a team work, but this system seems already in place while Kylian Mbappe was still with the club which is why his departure from the club didn't have any negative impact on the team's performance because they don't rely on the performance of any player or a super star in their in their team.
