It's true every degress categories have potential to make someone rich. However, there are careers which are more promising than others, what means they are more demanded, and as consequence, more professionals are needed and better rewarded.
In less demanded careers, you need to stand out a lot in order to be successful, otherwise you will have to accept low paying rates. On the other hand, in a highly demanded career, you don't really need to stand out a lot, since your services will be needed, anyway. A clear example of high demanded career is medicine, so we have huge wages for doctors.
