i cant remember the number of time i have promised not to gamble again but end up still gambling. is just like a smoker that says he will stop smoking but often sees himself still smoking, that is how it is also in gambling. but the funny thing about stopping gambling is that you wouldn't know how you are going to quit. with the testimonies of most people I've come across was that they never knew how they stopped gambling. and i think quitting something will require you to shift your attention to another thing that will take your time and energy, otherwise you will never fulfill your promise of quitting what you are doing.

Well, a lot of people don't realise how they ended up quitting, it's not a coincidence. Sometimes if someone just focuses on quitting by always saying ‘I'm going to stop gambling’, most of them will continue to be stuck in the addiction they want to get rid of, but if they start looking for new things to reduce the days for gambling, slowly the old habit of gambling can be reduced and able to stop. Sometimes, quitting isn't about fighting the habit but sometimes it's about changing the habit. Not just resisting the urge to gamble, but finding new habits that make the urge to gamble lose its appeal. Of course, this is not easy to achieve, but we can try to reduce the activity first before stopping it completely.
