Real Madrid did not pursue Gyokeres, his agent offered the player to join Real Madrid, but the club rejected it. The management has considered their reasons for rejecting Gyokeres, apart from the price being considered too high, Real Madrid also already has a goal machine in their squad. Judging by his quality, he is very worthy of wearing the Real Madrid jersey, but if he only warms the bench, his talent will be wasted.
In my opinion, he is more suited to playing for Arsenal, where he can adapt quickly because Arsenal style of play emphasizes ball possession, organized attacks and utilizing space efficiently, making it easier for him to score goals.
That's right, Real Madrid doesn't want Viktor Gyökeres but now the news has spread as if this was manipulated so that Sporting CP could sell Viktor Gyökeres at a high price.

I don't understand why Viktor Gyökeres' transfer in this transfer market seems so crowded even though several teams that initially wanted to bring in Viktor Gyökeres are reluctant to continue because Sporting CP has set a very high price to release Viktor Gyökeres and that is very incompatible with the quality possessed by Viktor Gyökeres so it is likely that Viktor Gyökeres will not move anywhere if the team does not lower his price.
In my my own opinion I don't think it's just the transfer fee that is making top clubs still skeptical about signing him, most of these clubs are just too afraid to invest so much in a single player that they are not 100% sure will not flop, because if he flop in any of these top teams when he is being signed with such a huge transfer fee, it would actually be a financial disaster, so this is the risk most of this top teams are afraid to take, but if the transfer fee is lower, they would be willing to risk it on him since the transfer fee will not be that too high, and it's an amount they can easily afford to laid waste, but I bet you, if Gyokeres was already playing for and English or Spanish team, they wouldn't have think twice regardless of the transfer fee because he would have already proven himself that he can deliver in top five league's, so their is a higher probability that he wouldn't flop if he was plying his trade in the EPL or Spanish laliga.
