Most of us probably don’t believe that it’s possible to be profitable in sports betting. That mindset alone already closes off any opportunity to earn, so it’s hard to argue with people who don’t believe. On the other hand, there are people who truly believe they can win, especially in the long run. and that’s the mindset we need if we want to take sports betting seriously and make it a long-term journey.

Both sides have their points: some don’t believe, and others do. We just need to respect each other and never say it’s impossible to be profitable in gambling, because if you think that way, maybe gambling isn’t for you.
A gamble driven by hunger of profit can be very risky, although gambling is generally risky on its own but when hungry for wins and profits can make a gambler deviate from responsible gambling which is not ideal for every gambler. Almost every gambler is in for the wins and it's true having the mindset of a winner can be helpful in gambling but it's mostly about luck. Understanding that wins can't always come by means you understand gambling to some point and it will help you to maintain control and avoid possible addiction.

I don't think beliefs matter much, just be consistent with gambling and invest money that won't get your emotions involved in it and always expect anything (win or loss).
