Bangladesh's batting was great at first, especially in the middle order but it was unfortunate when they fell apart after the fifth wicket and I also thought Jaker Ali would play a smarter game and maybe help the tail a little longer. Sri Lanka on the other hand looked strong and sure of themselves especially Nissanka who played a great knock. The spinners and pacers haven't put enough pressure on the other team, and It looks like this match is going to end in a draw if they can't break this alliance soon
Yes, at first we thought that Bangladesh team did a good effort with the bat but now the Sri Lankan team is batting with even more responsibility and it seems that they will easily chase the Bangladesh's first innings score of 495. They already made 368 runs and lost only four wickets.
The Sri Lankan team batted around Pathum Nissanka as he was the leading player who scored most of these runs. He made 187 runs and put the Sri Lankan team in the driving seat. He was a bit unfortunate too, that after batting so well, he could not complete his double century. He deserved it.
I think early innings by Sri Lankan team was good, Pathum Nissanka and Lahiru Udara were making partnership but later Lahiru Udara got out at 29 runs and then Dinesh Chandimal arrived who was playing with strategy and making a partnership.
In the first about 40 overs, Bangladesh were searching for wickets and Taijul Islam took a single wicket. Bangladeshi captain gave him multiple times, till 35 overs he delivered 15 overs out of them while the other bowlers delivered about 6 to 7 overs. However, at that time, they were struggling badly for wickets.
