It is really sad that a strong team like Real Madrid drew the match against Al Hilal, even though they are the strongest team in La Liga, they did not win. If I were less, maybe Real Madrid could easily beat Al Hilal in this match but it was very difficult and the whole match was very interesting. I am watching this match and in the first half both teams scored one goal each and there was a draw. Although many imagined that Real Madrid would come back in the second half of this match but they failed to come back instead Al Hilal team attacked and defended strongly. Anyway these two teams played well from start to finish and both teams had almost equal ball possession, moreover the Group H point table is equal in points for both teams.
I don't understand why people doesn't treat the Saudi clubs with respect. A lot of Europeans abuse these clubs, claiming that they are just using the money power to lure players away from Europe. I don't see anything wrong with this. What the European clubs did for the last 50 years or so, the Saudis are doing for the last 2-3 years. BTW, the match was very closely fought. I was hoping for a win from Al Hilal, but they settled for a draw. Ball possession was almost evenly split (with Real slightly ahead).
the funny and yet interesting thing about the game of soccer is that regardless of the way you hype any team or look down on another team, it is at the end of the day a fair game. your hype ceases to be relevant once the game starts. even if you are the best in your league or have the most talked about players, as long as football is concerned, if they cannot win over a small team, then they are no better than them. real Madrid has always been on the news when it comes to their signing with a lot of expectation from fans afterwards. Mbappé came in and it was as though that was going to lead to the strongest attack we have ever seen in recent times, and now Trent alexander Arnold has also joined in the midfield and yet, they are still conceding goals.
i have followed up some Saudi games and was certain that there was never going to be a work over in this game. Al Hilal is not an underdog, they have never been short of a quality performance in their league and so there is no reason why we should think that real Madrid was going to easily win over them. if Madrid is a champion in LaLiga that is just LaLiga, this is a club world cup, every other team wants to win it as much as they also want to.
