Thanks for sharing about these issues. To be honest, I haven't thought this way about how our identity would be revealed. It's true; often when we make a transaction, we check on the block explorer whether it is confirmed or not. Also, we send links to the receivers when we make the transactions. So possibly the sender would check it first, and the second checker would be the receiver. So definitely our identity would be revealed unless we use Tor.

I don't trust VPNs; they're either free or paid. Because VPN companies have your data, and in case of law enforcement, they would be forced to share your data. So the only way is to use a privacy browser like Tor. So you are safe about its identity. We must care about our identity, but when we are using a centralised exchange and making transactions from there, then our identity is already revealed. So we have to think deeply about our true privacy.
