I do feel that we'll see the best from European teams later on in the tournament.
There's no need to play above the needed threshold - especially in front of 10.000 people.
You can see that this opportunity to show themselves at a big stage means a lot to non-European teams though - and so far some of them showed they aren't pushovers.

If there are serious games, they will be later, I agree. I don’t understand why everyone is surprised by what was predicted before the tournament - the group stage is a pure clown show.

This tournament is completely devoid of atmosphere, I don't know if it's because it's happening in the US or because the tournament itself is new. Maybe the organizers should have at least artificially warmed up? For example, so that the European representatives would call everyone else weaklings, and they, in response, European clubs moneybags, etc. A little wrestling here wouldn't hurt
