I do feel that we'll see the best from European teams later on in the tournament.
There's no need to play above the needed threshold - especially in front of 10.000 people.
You can see that this opportunity to show themselves at a big stage means a lot to non-European teams though - and so far some of them showed they aren't pushovers.

If they will continue to plat in such way, for some European teams tournament will end after group stage already. For example Porto is almost eliminated already. Chelsea maybe not, but their perfromance against Flamengo in 2nd half is disgraceful.
I already barely making bets on this tournament.
They have thunderstorm protocols. Which means play is stopped and doesn't resume until at least 30 minutes passed from last strike. They actuall reset the stopwatch every time lightning strikes and 30 minutes start again.

Yes, this is usual stuff, only not is it in all states or no. I remember last summer El Clasico in USA was delayed for 1 hour for same reasons.
