I remember seeing an intending purchase of a player with crypto, seeing the adoption of crypto so far in sports, maybe this will be an easier mode of transaction.
But on a second thought, i really don’t like the sports space to become decentralized in such a way that isn’t traceable. I think the centralized environment for the athletes space is helping with reducing risk of fraud and corruption.
Just imagine the transfer of $1,000,000,000 for the use of a racing stadium gets hacked or sent to the wrong wallet address…
But even at that, I’m not a 100% out with the opinion that it should not have a collaboration with the crypto and web3 companies and platforms.
I see the MotoGP collaboration with some CEX platforms and I guess this partnership might bring more initiatives to the two spaces. Though I doubt this can go further after here?
