I have these two controversial statements to make about Reuben Amorim;
- If Erik Ten Hang had remained in Manchester United till now, Manchester United wouldn't have ended the season as poor as 15 position and Manchester United wouldn't have missed the Europa league finals.
- Manchester United was bad last season, but at a point, they started playing good team football under Amorim. This shows Amorim could improve the Manchester United team this season.
Both points are controversial but both points are valid except that I don’t see Ten Hag going to win the Europa league, yes if he was the one at the finals with Tottenham he will win, because tactically he would have find a way to defeat Ange but the question is will he even be able to get to the finals because at the early stages of the competition he only drew those matches and might have got the team knocked out. Ten Hag wouldn’t finish the table on 15th because he would be introducing in new style of play which will require time first like Amorim’s style.
Amorim team was showing some glimpses of how the manager will want to play his football but the current set of players do not look fully suited for this pattern which I think if no major arrivals significant change in performance shouldn’t be expected
