Wirtz's transfer to the Liverpool is finally complete. he has been going through a hard way. A best player in Bundesliga this season. However, he created 12 assists combined with 10 goals, which is not worth his transfer value.
I thought that he would be valued 100m + 16m add ons, but seems his final price is 150 million. Imo, Liverpool is overpay him with such price.
150 million seems like a huge amount, but conservative Liverpool probably know what they are doing. I think this is their second big purchase? Klopp once said that Liverpool would never buy a player for 100 million, but the current reality is that there is no other way. Overall, clubs have no other choice, City continue carpet buying with the clear intention of regaining the title, so even targeted purchases of other clubs should somehow even out the situation. Until the League has a budget cap for transfers/salaries, the numbers we see will only grow.
