Barcelona is struggling with serious financial problems, and expensive transfers in the past have made this situation worse. Williams will look great on the left wing in Barcelona. This is good news for Barcelona. In other words, it is very good that the club came to almost bankruptcy in 2022 due to financial difficulties and still has such a squad and can still make good transfers.
They are increasing the risk in order to get more return on their investments, the aim is to create the best team and add the perfect to the current squad.
Barcelona won the domestic treble last season and of course this has given them some advantages. They may not have managed to get out of bankruptcy but at least they have the money to bring in Williams this season. Yes Barcelona still have critical financial problems but at least their situation this season is a little better. If Williams joins Barcelona it will make El Classico very interesting next season. Madrid have managed to fix the shortcomings in their defense and Barca have managed to strengthen their front line. I hope the transfer can be realized and wait for Fabrizio to say "here we go" on his social media.
Are we sure of this? Where can we check their finances and cap space situation? I always hear that they are in debt, or they are in trouble or they have no space left and what not, but I never get to actually see how much and what to do. Like I know this was the exact reason why they had to let Messi go, otherwise that dude would have stayed until now, but they couldn't and now they are saying oh we won some stuff and get whoever we want, was it just based on a win?
Like one league title and one cup and they are out of debt? I would like to see their debt situation and cap space situation if there is any website that shares it. Nico seems like a lot of money to buy, and a lot of money to sign himself as well, feels quite shocking to hear they can afford him.
Let's be honest: if any other small team would have been in Barcelona's financial situation, they would have been excluded from any international competition for sure, and maybe even from the local league as well. In the past we had teams that couldn't take part at the Champions League or Europa League just because they had few millions debt, Barcelona's debt is almost one billion and it looks like nobody cares. How are they still allowed to buy players? How can they still offer ridiculous wages? It's clear that the law is not the same for everyone. I don't wish seeing Barcelona going bankrupt because they are an historical team but at the same time is not fair what they are doing.
