I wonder how this player continues to be linked more to Arsenal and no official bid till now from Arsenal, I doubt if he’s in their top choice for a striker in the coming season. It will be good for them to have him though but if they don’t, there are still other good options out there to get from to help make their forward very strong.
Exactly where the problem lies, in modern football the heart of the midfield is the most vital structure of every football team and once you lose the midfield to the opposition then you are done for , I expect Alonso to understand this theory and get some reliable midfielders to help fortify the team for the upcoming season because if this is not done then he might not stay on till mid season, I doubt.
Just because Real Madrid were not able to sign Florian Wirtz doesn’t make them to be porous as a team that is not going to be winning trophies or won’t excel next season. Asides them not getting to sign Wirtz to strengthen their squad more, they still have their present midfielders which when managed well can bring more success for them to the club. I know their midfield has never been the same ever since the likes of Kroos left the club and only Modric was managing it with the new intakes, but now they need to show that they can do without them and uphold the true value of the team in the face of their opponents. This should not weaken them, they can be their best again this season.
