I say information technology or Computer Science. Very in demand and if we look at the world now, we are in the digital era and they are the ones needed the most. Engineering as well is profitable and always in demand wherever you are. Obviously you should pick a program where you excel at and you will be happy at but a factor of choosing a degree to study is how rich it can make you. I guess I am talking about the degrees with biggest ROIs these days.
What else are profitable programs?
Going to college does not mean that one must end up getting rich, and it is wrong for one to select a course with the sole intention of becoming rich. The main way people should choose their courses should be based solely on interest because if one focuses solely on becoming rich, they might end up choosing what they have no interest in.
Going to college to study a particular field should be based on interest; this will bring more value because one would put in their best effort to derive value from it.
If going to college guarantees getting rich after, then we won’t be witnessing out of school youths, except for those parents who can’t really afford to send their kids into school.
However, instead of having this mindset of getting rich after getting some college degree, I think it’s better to think this way, getting stable after finishing taking up those college programs. But that won’t define those who have not made it into college, as they can be stable if they have special knowledge and skills to sustain their life’s basic needs for survival.
