I understand your point but Madrid's problem last season wasn't lack of quality Midfielders it was defense cause most of their defenders got injured and it made that area very porous that's why the first area they've focused more on is the defense and they've done their best to strengthen it by adding young quality players. The transfer window is still open and there's still time to focus on other areas but then I don't think Real Madrid need Wirtz when they already have Jude Bellingham a quality Midfielder that can play the role of Wirtz very well in Real Madrid.
Although Real Madrid actually shipped in so many goals this season and seriously a rebuild at the defense is needed to be done and seriously Perez has done excellently to add players into the squad. The addition of Trent and Huijsen is a good one, if they get the signing of the Benfica left back Alvaro Fernandez done then the defense is ok for now. But aside the defense, one of Madrid biggest weaknesses last season was their attack. Let’s compare the attacking out put to that of Barcelona they score fewer goals compared to the attacking side of Barcelona but the defense of both clubs had similar goals conceded which means the difference was Barcelona could score more.
The problem of Madrid not scoring more goals spans between two things which is the attacking players do not play as a unit rather as an individual and secondly there was no creativity from the midfield with the Madrid players been just ball receivers and not much of creativity in them, I feel the Bellingham playing the attacking midfield role hasn’t helped and need to be looked at
