-snip- not sure why it downloaded that exact file with the GPG extension but when i tried this time it didnt have the extension!!!!!
You're on Windows, so its Windows Explorer defaults with "
Show->File name extensions" disabled.
And ".
gpg" and "
.exe" are both common file name extensions so the signature file will look like an executable file with "
.exe" extension;
While the actual executable/installer wont display an extension.
You can change that confusing names by ticking that setting in your Windows Explorer's "
View" menu.
