It’s one of those sayings that really sticks, and honestly, it’s something that inspires a lot of us not to give up on gambling too easily But if we really think about it, is having that mindset positive or negative? Does it motivate you, or does it just lead to losing more money in the long run?

It is a negative mindset if you apply it on gambling. If your mindset in gambling is to keep playing until you hit the jackpot then you could be gambling endlessly not gaining anything. While if you're gambling wisely like if you're able to win early then withdrawing it immediately that makes makes you a winner.

For me to make it more motivating, it should be "In gambling, quitters win if you know when to quit."

It's hard to apply this saying in gambling, I mean if we do this, chances are we make end up losing everything. So it boils down on control in my opinion and not follow sayings that is not applicable. Sure, this could be used to others things in life, but in gambling it could be worst.

So as I have said, everything should be done in moderation. If you think that you are not lucky today, then stop and quit and look for tomorrow. Just like today, I played roulette and no matter what numbers I bet, I wouldn't win. So I just remain calm and said to my self that this is not my lucky day so I quit and sleep. And when I wake up, I didn't have the urge to think and play again to recover. So just imagine if I follow this philosophy, I might end up with nothing and then have mental trauma today.
