If ppl don't control themself they're going to become addicted. It's sad because ppl who're controlling themself can become addicted but don't know it. I'll advise ppl to find excitement doing other things because gambling isn't good.

I wouldn't say that gambling is not a good thing. If a person realizes the risks and has good discipline, then, in this case, gambling can be just a hobby without negative consequences.
But at the same time, if a person has a strong addiction, it does not lead to anything good in any kind of activity, not only in gambling.
Gambling is bad and evil to those that don't understand how it works, especially those that sees it as a get rich quick scheme, they will engage in it and lose control. For those that understands that there's no guarantee of winning will engage with all due sense of discipline so that they don't get over excited and make avoidable mistakes. If you can control your bankroll in gambling you won't have regrets because you cannot over gamble because of unnecessary pressure or excitements. Power is nothing without a control, if you have all the money to gamble but don't know when to stop that means that you can become addicted.
Do you think that people who understand how gambling works can control themselves? I don't think so. What often happens is that this knowledge tricks you to think that you are more capable than you really are. I know gambling, I can't get addicted kind of thing. After a while, you realize that you are already deep in the hole out of which it is very hard to come back.
