I made this thread as per instructions from the recovery email, I don't know who handles it but I guess its the admin.
So after proving the account was indeed yours, you were asked to create an appeal thread? Do you have access to the account now and can you see an email address in the ban message?
I think it should be different from the one used in account recoveries.

As for the ban. That post was part of an active campaign that was going on for crypto.com visa cards. I posted the info from their main thread to the indian sub section as a part of the campaign.
This does not explain why you were banned, you should give more context or link the post here. We sometimes have appeals here from users that had multiple violations but they are not aware those has been caught.

recovery email asked me for a new email address for the change and it will take few more days to reflect. Precisely 4 more days.

As for the ban, the post was from around 2018. I cannot find the mentioned post on the history. I see I got a few negative trust ratings for "grammar" errors. The account I'm trying to recover is my first ever account on the forum. The crypto.com post was deleted after a member from the Indian sub-section accused plagiarism. But by definition, I was just trying to promote their campaign.

I had to give up all connections to crypto after a blanket ban by the Indian govt. It was only recently after some positive developments (regulatory) from the govt. that I decided to get back in. If you look at the post history, the account is inactive from 2019. I have also dealt with some reputed members from the forum like philipma1957, allinvain. Mods can also check for any malpractices or breach of trust from my side.
