It's good to see some of these surprises play out in this tournament because some of these European clubs are assuming that they are superior to the clubs from other regions but the South American teams seem to be playing some great football with great and unusual tactics which puts them ahead of all the teams in the competition so far.
European clubs have the best players in the world, so basically they are superior to the clubs from other regions, and don't let what is playing out in the Club World Cup make you believe the South American clubs have a chance against European clubs if they meet in a more competitive tournament. European clubs will still win the Club World Cup trophy to show their supremacy to the clubs from other regions.
If it were in those days when the European sides just come into the tournament during the semis it would have been quite understandable but since the competition has restructured into a group setting it has enabled the clubs from other regions to have a level playing ground thereby competing favourably which means they stand a chance of getting to the finals which would in turn present them the opportunity to clinch the trophy.
You know, when a tournament gets to a knockout phase, it always takes a different turn, and some clubs who weren't serious in the group stage will be serious in the knockout phase so that they can get the chance to play in the final, so I still believe if the Club World Cup gets to the knockout phase, the European clubs will improve their performance so that they will avoid being knocked out of the Club World Cup by a small club.
