If we analyze the standings of Inter's group we can say that Inter River Plate and Monterrey are still in the running to get past the group
But only two teams can get the pass, Monterrey will have to challenge the Japanese Urawa who is now eliminated
Inter will have to beat River Plate if Monterrey wins, because a draw would place them in third place due to goal difference. So yes, this group is very interesting, and the last match will be really exciting.
Looking at the group, I would say River Plate has a low chance obviously. Because like you said, they will be playing against Inter, and most likely Inter will win and that means River Plate will stay at 4 points. Inter already has 4 points, which means they will get to 7 points when they win.
And Monterrey will play against Urawa, and unless they make a mistake and get a draw or a loss, then they should be winning that game, hence why it's not that much of a bad deal at all. I am pretty sure that they can win, so that would take Monterrey into 5 points. Hence they would beat Urawa and get to 5 points and be over River Plate. That has to be a big case and should be what we are seeing in the long run and not have a bad result.
