That is interesting news about Nico Williams and Barcelona. It really looks like deal is moving forward especially since he is reportedly looking for home in Barcelona.
Main problem seems to be how money will be paid. Athletic wants all money at once but Barcelona wants to pay in smaller amounts over time. This is not surprising because Barcelona is known to have money problems. It will be interesting to see how they sort this out to finish transfer.
Nico Williams and Barcelona have already agreed on personal terms, so I believe Nico Williams signing for Barcelona this season is possible unless Barcelona fails to pay Nico Williams transfer fee at once before a deal that will see Nico Williams move to Barcelona won't happen this season. Yes, Barcelona is finding it difficult to pay Nico Williams's transfer fee at once because of their financial crisis, but they should source for funds and pay for Nico Williams's transfer fee before another club hijacks the deal from them.
