The expected trade of Durant is done...
Rockets got:
•
Kevin DurantSuns got:
•
Jalen Green•
Dillon Brooks•
No. 10 pick in this year's draft•
5 second-round picksIs this a good deal for Rockets? I think a good step for playing bigger. Losing Green isn't very ideal maybe but I don't think the same about Brooks.
Durant is 36 but still can do pretty good. He is still one of the superstars and can help a great deal for bigger goals.

The Suns obviously won this trade. They get the no. 10 pick for this year's draft and the other picks and they're able to get rid of Durant. That's a huge savings for them and they get young prospects as well. Brooks is fine, I know that many are haters of him but he might be able to do it with Booker and as for Jalen Green. I think with what I've read is that the Suns is planning to trade him as well with other teams. Maybe getting another bigman is what they need. As for the Rockets with Durant, well, we will see if that's a good trade.
For me, it's more beneficial for rockets. Durant is older but still a strong player who can help them compete. Losing Jalen Green hurts, but getting rid of Brook isn't a big deal.
For the Suns, this is a smart trade if they want to start fresh. They get a young scorer in Green and a top draft pick. It's a step toward building for the future instead of chasing a title now.
